    Apparently, Eastern Michigan is/was after Oakland's Greg Kampe. He's dismissed the rumors but they are out there. The Crain's Detroit story says he was pursued by Tennessee and Dayton, too. I might have missed that when those jobs were open.

    Yeah I read an article about the Dayton job and it had a quote from coach Kampe saying something like he would only leave Oakland if he thought he could make a run with the new school. And then he said something like he believed Dayton could be that place.

      “The only place I’m leaving Oakland for is a place where I could win and win big. I’m talking national championships,” Kampe told The Detroit News last month. “I want to go to a place that has high expectations, a chance at getting to the Final Four for a shot at the national title. I think you could do that at Dayton.”
