EMU after Kampe

Apparently, Eastern Michigan is/was after Oakland's Greg Kampe. He's dismissed the rumors but they are out there. The Crain's Detroit story says he was pursued by Tennessee and Dayton, too. I might have missed that when those jobs were open.

Yeah I read an article about the Dayton job and it had a quote from coach Kampe saying something like he would only leave Oakland if he thought he could make a run with the new school. And then he said something like he believed Dayton could be that place.

I’m talking national championships,” Kampe told The Detroit News last month. “I want to go to a place that has high expectations, a chance at getting to the Final Four for a shot at the national title. I think you could do that at Dayton.”
