That's a fine football team. They were allowed to play their game -- Jacksonville couldn't do much. As others have said, the playoff bracket Jacksonville emerged from was clearly inferior to the one NDSU won. The Bison earned and deserved trophy #5.

Another year and the heads can not get any fatter in Fargo. I risk being smackish here, but its amazing how they seem to keep being on top. The KFGO guys were talking about the young defense and how well they have come along this season since their defeat in Missoula. When the Jacks go to Fargo this fall, I am not about to do any bets of any kind. It will be a very tough game.

Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Give money. Go to games. Talk up the Jacks. Don't just whine and cower in fear. The Jacks have plenty of reason for optimism, starting with the roster.

Thats correct. First of all, they have in a more condensed version become like Alabama. ESPN goes to Fargo twice, and gives them constant notoriety. Kids want to play for a program that gets media exposure. It gives them a serious recruiting advantage. How do you negate that advantage? You beat them. The Coyotes beat them and last year in the playoffs you had them beat and let them off the hook. I don't subscribe to loser mentality, and Jacked_Up is exactly right. Be a part of the solution. Your program is not far off.

I think that with the NDSU program currently the only way to beat them is either play them early (Montana) or for them to just not have any motivation (USD). Both of those criteria aren't gonna work for SDSU.

SDSU needs to step up it's game in every area to beat them. The same old system won't do it, the staff needs to make fairly big strides to catch up.

The only way I could agree with this statement more is if I had written it. The ONLY way we can complete is if we, as fans, support the program. The first step was the stadium, but even that will wear off. Full stands, loud crowds, and a well paid group of coaches are what will put us over the top. Start thinking about how we will pay Stig's replacement whenever that arises.

Congrats to Bison on the Drive for 5. The MVFC goes to the drawing board trying to find another team to compete for the NC. It is a bit disappointing to see the MVFC end up on one side of the bracket and the rest of the FCS get a chance for the NC, It is way too convenient to block the road for another MVFC playoff team. JSU did not look like the #1 seed for the playoff.

The committee knew going in that the only team's that had a chance against NDSU was a fellow MVFC team. They also didn't want to have another replay of last season. They wanted two different conferences represented.

NDSU will blow out 90% of FCS every year.

This fall is another season. In 1986, in D2 it was USD vs NDSU for the finals, the committee seemed to be aware of that prior event and after last year, no more of this. I really think this kind of rational is false for the sake of the committee. Appearances can be deceiving and I hope I am wrong.

Every playoff team has to push out of the way every team they face in the playoffs....what difference in the long run does facing the Bison in the first rd (ok,bad example,first rd seeded teams get home field advantage) (shouldn't have to if we get seeded) same bracket,whatever.You're either good enough to win a National Championship or you're not.Unless, of course,the goal is to make the Championship game,not win it.Only then does it matter.

That said, the Committee has to quit playing politics and at least try and balance the upper and lower brackets a little better....a blowout game for the National Championship game seen all over the country is pretty clear testimony how badly they failed this year.I do understand the further you go into the playoffs,the more prestige you accrue,but it is fleeting recognition and superficial too,but it's advantageous for recruiting purposes probably.So maybe it is important after all,I guess.Did I just contradict myself? Oh well,points made anyway.

Nahh I don't think so. We might be 20 points underdog right now, but lets see how it all plays out. I don't think bubba has that much controlling karma.
