Bisonville is surprised that Dan Hammer broke the story. Dan Hammer does a great deal of UND sports. On Bison feedback last night hosted by Scott Miller, no mention of the injury by him or Chris Klieman. So still wonder is there any substance to this rumor.

Its really funny how many "dr's" they have coming out of the woodwork over there. Debating how serious a wrist injury can be. "My buddy hurt his wrist wrestling." "You know right away when its a major injury." Maybe JackMD can head over and help them out. Comedic gold over there!

And yet still nothing from Kolpack or Izzo. I have to wonder, if this were SDSU and TV were still our beat reporter, would he hold the story if the Athletic Dept or coaching staff asked him? I have my doubts. If this ends up being true, the two reporters who are THE "beat" reporters for NDSU won't come out of this looking very good. We shall see.

I alluded to this yesterday after listening to the weekly NDSU football press conference. About 10 minutes in:

Media - "Are there any nagging injuries?"

Klieman - "We'll know more later today... [laundry list of players with nagging injuries]."

That's as close as they got to asking about Wentz. How do they not ask "what are you hoping to find out later today?" as a follow up? Or better yet, just ask "any injuries we don't know about?" Complete softball question with about 100 ways to answer less than candidly.

Listening to KFGO and they are saying Wentz has an injury and is at a doctors office as we speak. After the visit an announcement is to be made. Joe Heitkamp is talking about his future in the NFL and how it does not make much sense to play this season with an wrist injury. I think it true and the details will be announced when they know the extent of the injury.

Izzo and Kolpack may know but until there is an official release there is not much they can say.

So, nothing announced about the nature and extent of the injury (Forum says "Wentz's status up in the air...") or when it happened (some of the rumor mill claims the injury happened after the game).

Great week for the Bison to go to Illinois State. We may learn about Easton Stick's abilities as a college quarterback.

Interesting... He could be back for the 2nd round of the playoffs, 3rd round, or possibly the semifinals, but he could miss all of that and only be ready if they get to the championship. Sad to see such a good player's senior season likely end on an injury.
