Sarcasm detector is just fine. I guess I could have stated it more clearly, but just to make sure I will do it this way:

SDSU fans would say play the game if it benefits SDSU's program.
USD fans would say play the game if it benefits USD's program.


(I seriously thought about making that last 'USD' a 'SDSU' for the heck of it.

I found picture 5/11 amusing. Seeing a USD band member wearing a Hawkeye hat while performing...hmmm...

Maybe the dude got lost on his way to Iowa City and just said "screw it I guess I will just stay where I am."

I've mentioned several times before that my daughter is a USD graduate. These pictures reminded me of a couple of things from the years that she was a student there that probably, if they deserve any mention at all, only belong in the smack section. The band member in the Hawkeye hat made me think of the USD graduate that I saw after the end of the commencement ceremony walking through the narrow and cramped DakotaDome concourse wearing a USD graduation gown and a very well worn SDSU baseball cap. The other is how my daughter proudly told me that the band especially loved playing "Hit the Road Jack" (and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more) at the final South Dakota State @ USD basketball game that was played. For the time being, let's take that band's advice!

Nope, since Gigglebees went out of business our Coyote pal has been unemployed like many USD grads.

What you don't see in the picture is the bottle in the brown paper bag just under his legs. Unemployment can really be hard on some guys. Don't give up buddy, Vermillion has a McDonalds now, you are a little under qualified for the drive up window but you still should apply. Keep your chin up. Do you still have your tricycle?

So how about the Raiders yesterday? What a joke of a franchise. They aren't going to be relevant again until Al Davis is gone.
