It drives me crazy when Bison fans bring up our 11 time, 3 time defending National Championship winning football program in basketball threads. I mean, what does the best three year stretch in the history of FCS/IAA have to do with basketball? Do countless football conference championships and All Americans have anything to do with basketball? Is NDSU's 7-3 record against FBS teams, all on the road, in basketball or football? Yeah, not basketball! What the hell do 19,000 Bison fans migrating to Frisco, Texas last month have anything to do with basketball? I HATE when Bison fans do that!

We think it's funny. And it's particularly funny when that same disdain for bringing up sports NDSU fans don't want to talk about is asserted as criticism on SDSU's message board.

If I am reading goon's post correctly, I think I agree with him. SDSU fans hoped the team would grow throughout the year and that appears to be the case. The trend line for the Jacks this season indicates they may be the best team come tourney time. The Bison have not always proved they can finish it out.
I am blaming my phone for that one. I meant M.O not month Every year. And yes you had it correct.

No question the Bison will be favored in Fargo. SDSU winning in Fargo would be preferred but we've had our focus on the end of the year this year: the Summit League Tourney. So enjoy yourself until you have to travel to Sioux Falls.

                  I read this as:

"We know NDSU is the better team, especially at home. With that in mind, we concede Saturday's game to the Bison. We look forward to some home cooking and luck in Sioux Falls and will maintain that when we lose on Saturday, it's because we were too preoccupied with the tournament to care about a game that gives the winner the #1 seed and a tourney bye."

This attitude reflects why SDSU gets so many smart, athletic and attractive women from the region and NDSU gets UND's leftovers.

Yes, i think we all agree NDSU is the better team at home. But no, nobody is conceding Saturdays game. And yes, if it takes home cooking and luck to make the NCAA Tourney, great!!!! If we win, we tie for first. I dont think that means we have the #1 seed even if we win out, does it?

Reading comprehension problems, too. That's sad.

Don't you think the Las Vegas line for the game will favor the Bison at home? Nothing said about conceding the game. And if you haven't been paying attention, the Jacks are quite focused of late and will be in Fargo. We're taking it a game at-a-time as we are known to do.

Ah, the home-cooking in Sioux Falls...precursor to the common Bison refrain about getting jobbed by the refs.

If we win out and tie with Bison, it depends where Denver ends up. We would hold tiebreaker because we would have beat Denver twice and Bison lost to Denver there. Whole lot of basketball yet.

*if Denver is at 4 spot.

Ah yes. As long as Omaha doesnt finish higher than Denver, then we should have a good chance at the tie breaker, as long as we win out.

Bet you wouldn't put money on that, but how will we ever know? You've put yourself on double secret probation until after the game.

Um, I don't think we all agree. Jacks are playing awfully well.
