Ask our defense. If anyone's going to score a TD, it'll be them.

Someone on Bisonville suggested we always punt on 1st down, because we have a better chance of knocking the ball free during the punt return than actually putting a drive together. There wasn't much disagreement.

Smack aside, I think the MVFC teams in the playoffs need to perform well or there is going to be some decreased respect especially from the east coast conferences. I think all 3 have very legitimate chances to win their opening round game and hope that they do so.

Having UNI, NDSU and WIU do well in the playoffs only improves our chances in years to come. So, as much as it pains me to cheer for any of them, I will be this weekend.

I really don't see how NDSU winning would help other teams in the conference. The MVFC has not had a ton of playoff success in recent years, but 3 MVFC teams with 7-4 records still got in this year.

You sort of answered your own question. If you guys stumble at home against Roberta Morris that third 7-4 MVFC team that is on the cusp next year will not get the benefit of doubt that you guys probably got this year.

NSDU beat SDSU in men's basketball
Wisconsin beat USD in men's basketball


It also looks like NDSU's athletic programs are a combined 6-1 against SDSU's this school year.
