if the bison play like yesterday it will be a short visit to the promised land
I dont think so. I think their offense will have a new life against Robert Morris. Look who they have played, Central Conn, Wagner and a teams that would never have a chance in the MVFC. I think the boots will flow with beer in Bozeman the following week.
Have all the naysayers in B-Ville who were saying yesterday they didn't belong in the playoffs changed their tunes? Anyone been over there? Too lazy to go myself.
The bids weren't even opened until the teams were matched up. The Bison got in on their win over Kansas.
Please, you bought your way in. Last team in gets to host a weak NEC team. Why? $$$$$$$$$$$ You should be glad that Montana St. won otherwise Montana would have bought their way in and you would be on the outside looking in, and you know it. With that said good luck in the playoffs. Make the most out of what you got.
Sitting at Cubbies and discussing the season last night with friends. We all pretty much agreed that after the outcome of the NDSU/MSU game. NDSU was hands-down SDSU's worst loss of the season.
ISU-Red was argued, only because the game was at home.
It may have been a bad day for the Bison, but we still beat both SD teams.
Now, our fans are crazy and some are off their rockers completely, but it's no different that your fans calling for TOB's head after one of his meltdowns. The difference is Bisonville has 10x the active posters on a daily basis so there's 10x as many people to call for people's heads when they screw up. This place is a ghost town unless your women's basketball team is back in the NCAA tournament.

Mango is a Jacks fan/alum, not a Bison fan.

That would be 10x more Bizon fans who have no life. Rather sad when you think about it.
But congrats on being the second Dakota school to get into the FCS playoffs! Oh and congrats on buying the home game! I figure you get a first round win. I predict a 5 - 0 barn burner.

Their mod (I'm pretty sure Tony is a mod, at least) over there is saying they backed in. Yes the bid may have played a role but people that are on the selection committee have said the bids were not opened until after the selections were made.
People on Bisonville were openly rooting for Montana St. yesterday, they knew they needed help.
Also, as RabbitObserver said, I went to school at SDSU, my sister went to SDSU and my dad went to SDSU. My heart lies with the Jackrabbits. But when the Bison are not playing SDSU, I want them to do well. They were our brothers in transition and we are linked with them.

I think it is likely they got in due to UM not having 7 D1 wins and Liberty being in a weaker conference with a lesser GPI. The committee had a choice between three money schools and NDSU won out. I agree that of the three they should have. However, hosting a weak NEC team and getting a better draw then both conference teams who finished higher and beat them means $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ played a big part in the process. There in lies the problem with the FCS playoffs.
Certainly any playoff field that has teams selected into it may be affected by $$$. But, lets be clear that in FCS the conference you are playing in will not prevent your team from getting to the championship game.
That my friend is the problem with FBS.

Getting the better draw than WIU and UNI is kind of confusing without a doubt. Did the fact that NDSU draws well play a part in them getting a home game? Without a doubt. Apparently their bid was way over the minimum bid
