David Johnson from UNI is putting up some good numbers.

Zenner tied with a bunch of others as 11th fastest running back in the 40 yard dash with a 4.61

Everybody was running a little slow today. I still think both Crockett and Zenner can make it in the NFL. There are only a handful of elite backs. There are a lot of roster slots for "very good" backs who can contribute in multiple ways. Both of those guys can do that.
            Holy nutmeg!

I thought David Johnson was the most impressive of the three MVFC backs today. Very smooth and looked great on his pass routes.

Wonder if the track was soft. Looked like most had trouble right away and could not make up for it. I imagine a track guy would have an advantage. WR's put up some good numbers.

Looks like they have official 40s b/c they have ZZ running a 4.60. Tied for 12th with Ameer his training partner.

I believe all the RB events are official now, and Zach graded out very well. He placed in the top 15 of every RB workout at the combine according to NFL.com

                    4.60 forty yard dash (T-#12)
                    25 reps bench press (T-#4)
                    41 inch vertical jump (#3)
                    10'1" broad jump (T-#5)
                    7.08 three cone drill (T-#9)
                    4.14 twenty yard shuttle (#7)
                    11.69 sixty yard shuttle (#9)

Fullback though, right? Stupid. How does Mel Kyper have a job?

According to this advance metric (SPARQ) of the combine performances, the MVFC running backs must be pretty good (Johnson 2nd, Zenner 3rd, and Crocket 5th).

BUT BUT BUT, how could Zenner be this good? His numbers against the mighty bison are so bad.

I mean how can he possibly do anything good in the NFL?

Yeah according to Bisonville, a Zenner is equal to 4 yards.

Amazing that we had three senior backs like those guys on MVFC, plus the younger back from Illinois State.
