Lions OC Joe Lombardi on RB Zach Zenner: Heck of a special teams player and a guy that we're really comfortable with on offense.

Here is the article that goes along with it. Some nice words by the coach.

Zenner's compensation is $435,000 in 2015 plus the $5,000 signing bonus. Don't believe 2016 or 2017 are guaranteed.

That should take care of student loans if there were any.

And #54 on the Lions payroll this season. Means Lions are paying someone not on the Lions team more than Zenner. Like Nate before him, just happy to get the chance at the highest level.

When do they decide if he's activated for the game?

http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles...ter-in-the-nfl. Here is an article with a typical game day breakdown of a roster. Zenner being the fourth RB would be an important special teams guy. A fast over 200 lb guy with probably be on kick and punt coverage.

My wife and I finally took the plunge and got smartphones in May. The most handy thing I've found it useful for is a TV remote now that our 1 year old mysteriously lost the actual remote. This new-fangled technology stuff is pretty neat-o, I must say.

I hope I'm wrong but Zenner would actually be the fifth RB. The report states that FB's are counted in the equation. That would put Zenner as the fifth RB for the lions. We will see what happens on Sunday though.
