And honestly I think that with his talent/size he'll get a better option somewhere else. I was told from people who know Cody that his family really wanted him to stay close when he was released from him LOI to Iowa, however I really don't know what to expect from him.
My guess is he'll go JuCo, say he's reformed and get a ton of offers. But I really don't know, he could be looking at over a year in jail in relations to this crime and the 120 days suspended in Sioux Falls. My guess is Florida and therefore any other school won't make any decision until its all figured out.
A lot of people are mentioning Iowa State, they recently had a de-commitment and there coach has had no problem taking on transfers with problems (Royce White from Minnesota is a prime example)

Re: Cody Larson II....
The story is on the AOL homepage. There were 22 comments at the time I read it. Coaches comments added in the story. Not a pretty sight!

My guess is if he isn't in a jail cell he'll be at a JuCo next year.

This is a very unfortunate situation. I will reserve my comments until the judical process is complete.

Also, joeboo, your comment on the SF media is way off base. It was the "SF media" that got the original story wrong in the first place, which made things look much worse than they actually were. No one is going to paint this situation in a positive color. Stu was one of the few who got the actual story told, and did the in-depth interview with Cody himself that was certainly less than flattering.
rowdyrabbit: They probably used a bail bondsmen. If these kids had five grand they would probably not be attempting to steal.
Back to Cody. Another amazingly bad decision that will no doubt derail his basketball career before it ever gets started.
Its just a stupid decision, I can understand the alcohol, I can even understand the drugs but to break into a car is just stupid, especially when you are on probation.
