Re: Sioux nickname change likely with tribe stand

With a Seven billion dollar surplus in Bismarck, it was smart to get the legislature involved with some deep pockets, and so the saga continues. Meanwhile the roads in the oil patch go unattended and are some of the worst roads in America.

All those attorneys involved got to love this. No jab towards JackJD, but the legal profession is going to love this since now the AG will be fighting for the sioux once this mandatory logo becomes law in ND. Oh yes someone from ND will have to represent the NCAA in this fiasco so more dollars for that attorney. Around and around we go and where it stops no one knows.

Our SD natives on the Standing Rock seem to be the ones sticking to their guns and opposing the use of this logo. Its wierd how this notion of tradition amongst the white majority trumps those of the minority who are greatly offended by the unauthorized use. This is what Speaker Carlson is telling, a NDSU grad by the way, but feels he has a dog in this fight because he is a leader of the GOP in the legislature.

In actuality the Highways the State is responsible for in the Oil patch are in good shape and all have had major re surfacing and passing lanes added, its the gravel roads that the Townships and Counties are responsible for that are bad, but anyway this issue if stupid to be brought up

Just when you think the nickname issue had been solved.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

When I first read that, the first thing that came to my mind was the theme to "Jaws" and the famous catchphrase, "Just when you could back into the water...."

          Sorry...just thought it was funny.
