Who are/what level are St. Ambrose/Culver Stockton.

Mo Rolla and Southern Oregon are D-II teams.

Who knows, NDSU is still searching for a game! LOL

They are both NAIA. St. Ambrose is in the conference with William Penn.

what's crazy is even with the DII schools and the NAIA schools, that is easily the toughest schedule USD football has faced in 10 years.

If they're going to play NAIA teams, I have to wonder if they asked USF to come down to the dump? I have this feeling they did, and the Coo said no.
Being a resident of SF, I would secretly love to see the Coo brought back down to earth one of these years...hard. Oops...I guess it's not a secret anymore. I'll be rooting for AUGIE next year as I'm sure the SF media will tout this game as..."the rivalry of the year"!!

Excellent point. They are ramping up schollies to meet the challenge. It will be interesting to watch (from afar of course).

This topic came up when the letters of intent were being signed and M'kort said they were going to be at the full 63 schollies next year. I haven't studied this and I know it has been mentioned before, but doesn't the increase in schollies have to be equitable with womens sports? Maybe they can shoot up in two years, and I think they are at 52 +/- this year. Thanks for any input.

Tough to schedule games I guess, the main thing is they get games and move forward. Plus USD has a tough road schedule. So some wins at home will not hurt in their first year.

The U is is that terrible first transitional year. All we Rabbits need do is look back at our home/away schedule of 2004 to see virtually the same.

We had a NAIA team in last year. And a D-III that played an unmentionable game.

Good road schedule, but UND is likely to be their only "D-I" home game. In less I'm mistaken, in 2004, NDSU was our only "D-I" home game.

                      Re: USD 2008 FB Schedule

                      In case we forgot:

                      Year 1
3 transitional teams - NDSU (H), UNC, UC Davis
                      3 D-II teams - Western Oregon(H), Winona(H), Augie(H)
5 I-AA teams - Southern, SUU, Cal Poly, Georgia Southern, MSU

                      Year 2
                      1 NAIA - Lacrosse (H)
                      1 Non Scholly - Valpo (H)
                      1 D-II - Rolla (H)
                      3 Transitional - Davis (H), UNC (H), NDSU
                      5 I-AA - Montana, Poly(H), Tex St, SUU (H), Georgia Southern (H)

                      Year 3
only 2 NAIA Lacrosse, William Penn

I think its a pretty decent schedule for USD considering.
