    Re: 2008-09 Recruits

Billy Donaven came down to Yankton and personally offered Colton a scholarship. Colton told Billy thanx but no thanx. I am hearing that Colton will commit to Nebraska sooner rather then later. He wants to be the top dawg on campus and Florida is getting a transfer PF from I think West Virgina and that was the tipping of the scale.

Colton must of had a work out at the Summit Center in front of some coaches I heard 17 head coaches and an assistant from every big name school except Duke and one other school.

Once again, you need to get your facts straight. Previously posted in this thread was this article:

      http://www.yankton.net/stories/08010...88270725.shtml

In there it states only 10 coaches from big-name programs were in attendance for Colton's workout. That is a far cry from the 17 "you heard" were at this workout and an assistant from "every big name school".

You need to learn how to use resources to back up your statements and get away from posting information "you heard from someone" that is not factual. It would do you and all of us a whole lot of good!

From friends in Yankton, Colton favors being closer to home, i.e. not Florida. Colton's family isn't crazy about Nebraska but he likes it. They were in Minnesota last week visiting with Tubby.

So, I think it will be Nebraska or Minnesota, we will see.

On Louie Krogman I talked to my friend from White River and he said that he had talked to Louie's Dad numerous times this summer and Louie's dad said that SDSU is where Louie will go unless he gets major offers, as far as a scholarship on the table or walking on I don't know I am just saying what he said.

Basically what he said was that Louie narrowed it down to SDSU, USD and BCS conference school.... since USD is becoming a transitional D-I he doesn't want to be in that situation and since no big schools have knocked on his door SDSU looks like the obvious fit. Now I understand that things can change in a drop of a hat and I am not saying that Louie has verbelled or signed at SDSU I am just saying that the White River camp expects Louie to be wearing the Blue and Yellow in a couple of years.

Thats what I had heard I just heard that Florida was a no because of a transfer and Colton doesn't want to come in and be behind somebody he wants to come in and start.

So Louie is going to be a Augie Viking, or did you mean Blue and Yellow (SDSU's colors)?

I read that Ralph Sampson's son visited Minnesota last weekend also. He is 6'-11" and is interested in U of M because Tubby is there and has won a national championship. If Colton is interest in starting right away, his best bet would be SDSU. I'm sure Nagy would start him right away.

I think Joeboo may not have been around for the Great 'Yellow&Blue' vs. 'Blue&Gold' controversy some time back . . .

Here's a story from the Omaha World Herald on Colton Iverson. He's taking an official visit to Nebraska to go to the USC-Neb game, and has already taken official visits to Florida, Creighton, and Minnesota. Iowa and Iowa State are coming to visit him in the future, and he already turned down Wash St., UCLA, and New Mexico. The story quotes his Dad, who says Florida is out of the mix. No mention of SDSU.

Correction, Iowa and Iowa State had home visits with him this week. His Dad also says he wants to make and decision and sign in the November signing period.

isn't sdsu the 2 1/2 hour away school?

Right now I think Iverson is Nebraska's recruit to loose...

Unfortunately that is wishful thinking. Omaha is roughly 2 1/2 hours away from Yankton so the school referred to as that distance away would be Creighton.

Let's face it eveyone...there is little to no chance Colton Iverson will be wearing a Jackrabbit uniform next winter.
