When Smith was named coach at Utah State Austin wasn't immediately listed then either. There are currently no assistants listed at Utah State.

An early report didn't close the door on Hansen joining Utes' staff, but more recent report didn't mention him, while noting that Eric Peterson will continue as one of Smith's assistants.

That report also mentions two assistants (Jones & Martinez) under Krystkowiak, Smith's predecessor, are likely departing. Both had sons on the team, with Martinez's son Ian already entering the transfer portal, but the article speculates that Rylan Jones will likely remain with the team
