Smart has been suspended, which seems right. Now, will TTU do the right thing and suspend the "super fan" who obviously has done this sort of thing many times before?(Check YouTube for video of him making an obscene gesture and wagging his tongue at an Texas A&M player). He's a known idiot agitator with an impulse control problem.

My guess is that the edited video TTU has released indicates they're going to do what Texas Tech does and excuse the fan's bad behavior. I have a friend who played football for Tech and he told me he was appalled at what their fans do and say to opposing players.

I have heard some pretty racial things directed towards opposing players at Jacks football games. You know what the player did, ignore them and keep doing their own thing. The player was riding a bike right up against the fence and the fans were right on the fence

I once ran down a half flight of stairs to the visitor's bench to tell Travis Bader I thought he looked like a Justin Bieber backup dancer. I was 21 or 22 and may or may not have been under the influence of alcohol.

I can't imagine doing something like that now.

Did you have to go around an illegal screen to get to him ?

And just to be clear , Smart didn't go into the stands to go after the fan. He went into the stands as the result of a play and basically landed right at the feet of the fan. Much different than in the NBA a few years ago when Ron Artest , or Metta World whatever he's calling himself now put a whupping on some fans.

The piece of crap is the video. How do you know, Orr said that? There is no way Smart went into the stands because he was called a piece of crap. And Orr says that doesnt reflect how he is. I saw the other video of him being an A hole and reflecting how he really is. How old is this guy anyway? People his age shouldnt even be saying "piece of crap" to a college basketball player.

Marcus Smart was suspended for 3 games. He's going to be suspended for arguably 3 of the biggest games of the year. At Texas, and home against Oklahoma and Baylor. Could make or break their season.

It seems odd that he will no longer attend any games if all he said was what was in that video. The short coming of that video is that it doesn't show who is saying what and there is a lot of jumbled audio. I doubt Smart will say anything further because anything more from him about the situation just brings it back into the spotlight and hurts him further.

We'll never get proof, but I would bet a serious amount of money that "piece of crap" was not the only thing said to him.

Didn't realize that Texas Tech athletics was the one that made the video and uploaded it to Youtube. The more I listen/watch it, the more I don't buy it.

Really sad to think that there are still places and people who think using the N word is ok. If its a common choice of words in Lubbock then im sure this fan wont get any punisment out of it.

To me, his reaction "looked" like he had been called a racial slur. Does that mean anything? No. Does it mean that's what he was called? Again, no. But that's what his reaction "looked" like to me.

The young man appeared to be very offended. I can guarantee you he has been chastised by fans without reaction. Something over the line must have been said. I am curious to see how this turns out.
