Interesting - I saw on the Bison Board that a WSU fan posted that he hasn't used a red shirt year so if he did pick us he would have two season to play after he sat out one. He could jump right in after Heemstra and Dykstra graduate.

There are a lot of factors at play but if those are the three schools he is considering, I like our odds.

He has announced official visits to the other 2, I don't know the guy, I know very little about his background. But many times its high school coaches and AAU/summer circuit coaches who advise them on these decisions. SDSU's lack of transfers and very little success in those that have transferred might hurt SDSU's consideration. Also looks as if the kid wants to play big minutes, that might happen at SDSU it might not. More likely to happen at UNO or UND

When it comes to transfers its different then high school, its who they know on the current team, and how they think they will fit in, etc.

You mean you did not bother to watch the BIG DANCE games that involved Witcha State? Shame shame, if you had you would know this guy is a very good player. I am with Southeast, I like our odds.

Wichita played a ton of guys and he didn't see a ton of minutes. Its not as if his transfer recruiting is blowing up or anything.

What I am saying is that he has 2 announced visits, SDSU is not one of those.

Rumor out of the Twin Cities was if he doesn't like his options he will consider walking on at Minnesota.

You have an offical lists of visits, and know that he going to walk on at U OF Mn, and you dont know anything about this guy? How does that reconcile? Oh that right, the walking on angle is just a rumor.

That's not exactly what he said.

                Calm down.

Calm I am, just having a little fun with the guy whose on top of the knowledge world at least at times he seems to be. I think we still might be in the race for landing this transfer.

Recruiting for his transfer has been difficult to dissect, other then the official release from Wichita, article out of the Twin Cities and a couple of tweets there hasn't been much on his transfer recruitment. From the sound of it SDSU is 1 of 3 teams he is considering. SDSU is obviously the most successful of the 3, but SDSU lost Twin Cities recruit to UND earlier this year, and from the sound of things he wants to be the guy who takes the majority of the shots.

I agree, so much of this choice is very personal to none other than Jake White. Probably he is not certain at this point in time as to which way he will go. Through my yellow and blue glasses, I still see a chance.

This young man may be quite a talent. He may also have a difficult time fitting with a team if he indeeed insists on being "the man". It may be a bit harsh to criticize any staff for not having an immediate opening for a transfer. As noted earlier, SDSU does not have that history of being the spot for transfers to land.. That is not an endorsement or con for the program. It is the way the program is at this time. Many of the other teams in the Summit survive on transfers. NDSU and SDSU do not plan that way and it may hold the programs back some, but they have their approach and others have their approach to team building. Meanwhile, UNO may have a great player the Jacks will need to compete with in a couple of years. It will be better than seeing the young man walking on at Minnesota with the possibility of disappearing on another bench. I would look forward to see him in the Summit.

Not really sure what Doyle has to do with this, he is signed, sealed and soon to be delivered. Its not as if its a 1 or the other type situation. I know less about Doyle then White so I'm not going to get into an argument there. Also Flatten was the last of the in coming Freshman to commit if that is the angle you are taking.

As for why he didn't chose SDSU. The kid averaged next to nothing for Wichita St. now Wichita St. is a good team obviously (final 4, etc.) but they are a high mid major. When stating the reason he was transferring he said he wanted the ball in his hands, wanted to take the majority of the shots. Which is fine, but for a guy who did little at Wichita St. I don't know if a school like SDSU can hand him the car keys and promise him the Nate Wolters offense for him. I think that is some of it. Add in SDSU has had hardly any success with transfers, especially 2 year transfers, I think it makes sense for why he chose Omaha.
