Probably not all, but a growing number that is intensifying with the pressure to win and bring home the bacon, ie a share of the CBS contracts and the bowl money. Its about visability to the admin and alums. Not unsimilar to the Tigers chasing their tails as in Little Black Sambo and turning into butter. These stories have great moral themes. No racial references intended, Little Sambo just happened to be black.

I'm sure that the resignation is an attempt by the program to stem the tide of the investigations. My assumption is the corruptness of the OSU program is much greater than even this report shows.

Looks like that 2002 NC is now even more tainted.

Personally, I hope that he is out of coaching for good. He has already screwed over 2 programs.
I think more information is going to come out on this. So far they have just touched on the tattoo stuff, wait until more on the car deals come out

I don't find it hard to believe at all. I'll treat it just like steroids in baseball in the 90s and early 00s.

No, I'm just going to assume everyone cheats and not worry about it. The NCAA is a hypocritical organization and I don't really want to pay attention to this side of it. So I won't.

Hopefully you don't have very many teams that you support if you think they are all cheaters. I guess I would rather think differently between teams that play by the rules and those who don't.

It would be nice if the pro sports would get the back bone that the NCAA has, atleast in most issues when it comes to penalties and enforcing the rules.

Pryor shows up to team meeting driving another loaner car. 6th dealer car in 18 months is what I"m hearing. What a moron.

I've heard it was like his eighth car since he's been at Ohio State.

I don't cheer for anyone. But if you think any team is clean you are naive. And you may be the first person to ever say the NCAA has backbone. What a joke of an organization.

I saw that and I'm thinking did you even think? Maybe he paid for it, maybe his car is getting fixed. or whatever, but if there was even a hint of a car problem wouldn't you walk, catch a ride or find some beater to drive to the meeting?

Tressel will get a show clause, wouldn't be surprised if it was something like 5 year +

OSU's penalty will make USC's look easy. If I had to guess I'd say 4 years no post season (which means Big 10 championship game as well). 10-15 scholarships a year for 4 years and a cap on the # of players you can have in camp during those four years.

As far as every school does it, I think some type of violation happens at every school. I'm willing to bet some small recruiting violations and other player violations have happened at SDSU, I've seen numerous would be violations at BHSU when they become NCAA instead of NAIA. The difference is some coaches know more then others, some are very involved or on purpose are not involved. Is it hard to watch 100+ kids? no doubt, but when your star player has a new car every 6 months, or when 10-15 kids are hanging out on the bad side of town at a tattoo parlor someone should see it.

As far as merchandise trading I wouldn't have a problem if it was theirs, as far as the rings and the awards IDK about those but when any starter can go into the equipment room and get whatever whenever they want someone at the University isn't doing their job.

I draw the difference when they knowing allow the rules to be broken, I am sure a few get by the coaches, if 5-6 guys trade a jersey for a tattoo can a coach really notice? But when players who you know don't have a lot are driving a NICE newish car every 6-8 months, when they are hanging out in questionable parts of town, when they are getting a jersey or cleats from the locker room every day red flags should be popping up.

I don't think EVERY university is setting up players with boosters that then give the players cars or money, but I do think coaches turn a blind eye or "don't want to know" as my golf coach always told us as we were talking about betting at practice.

Do you have proof of every program being dirty? If not, you sound like a birther, crazy. You know what assuming does. Any pro team would just be a slap on the wrist for the rule violations that Ohio State got. That is if the pro sports actually had any rules. There is little consequence to getting in trouble in pro sports. Just the last few years they are starting to crack down on it a little more after running un checked for decades. NCAA may have some stupid rules, but they enforce them more then any other organization.
