Tough to beat a good team that many times in a season.

We could all hope to fall so far.
So will VCU be an AP top 5 team in the final poll even though they were roundly critized by the pundits for even being selected? Butler, from the one-bid Horizon league.
Great when new teams come in, and have success.

How can you say that? They pounded Kansas and beat teams from how many top conferences, and they have what appears to be one of the better young coaches in the country.

They didn't even win their conference, which was 10th best in the country in RPI. They got hot for 5 games and shot well above their season average from 3 and defended WELL above their season averages from 3. They got hot at the right time, which is awesome. I was cheering for them hard. But they are not one of the top 25 teams in the country; I judge it based on the entire season, not just 5-6 games.

Re: no three peat for the Huskies
I would put Butler in the top 25. Not VCU.
And if anyone that watched the game tonight thinks those are the two best teams in the country, they are nuts. That's why the tournament is awesome, it only takes 1 game. In the NBA, you have to beat a team 4 out of 7 so the better team usually wins. Here's a great story about it: http://joeposnanski.si.com/2011/04/0...ness-of-march/Originally posted by JackFan96Well, I don't get to sit in Mom's basement and watch sports all day
