He had a kickoff return for a TD last week against Denver, but coughed the ball up late in the game on a kickoff that resulted in an "icing on the cake" score for Denver.
I see Stephan Logan returned a KO for a TD today also. I don't remember where he went to college though. But he fumbled a punt against the Vikings a couple of weeks ago also.
Oh the highs and lows of being a returner in the NFL.

On Marc Mariani - I got shivers when I read the name.
On Stefan Logan - little dude's got some wheels, and occasionally, butterfingers. His return today is the longest play in the NFL this year."Life is short so make sure you spend as much time as possible arguing with strangers on the Internet." - Person

It actually surprised me that he returned the kick the whole way since in college he was fast for about 60-70 yards and then would get run down.
As for Mariani. Ugh. Stupid. ****ing. Cowboys. Goodness, I somehow hate one of my teams more than the Twins. Well done, losers.Originally posted by JackFan96Well, I don't get to sit in Mom's basement and watch sports all day

49ers fan also. I want someone to explain to me why Singletary is not the Tim Brewster of the NFL. Lots of talk that gets the "diehards" really going, not a lot of wins. Not happy he fired the OC either, when the defense sucks as much as it does.

At any rate, yeah, he's a Brewster.

Re: A Name From The Past
Singletary kept saying how important it was that the offense had the same coordinator two years in a row for the first time in Smith's career. Said right up until the day they fired the OC. As for "botched" calls, no more on offense than defense. First it was the players fault, then the "organization" needed to change, now the coaches & players fault. Blah, Blah, Blah.

Originally posted by goon View PostExactly, Smith has had everything agianst him starting his career, little talent around him, no OC more then 1 year, injuries. Its hard for him to develop to the QB they are expecting. Sadly I think the only way is to start over with new coach and QB. they look to be on path to get a great first round pick this year so maybe they can try a new QB.
I do think that firing Jimmy Raye and promoting Johnson to OC was a very good idea. Raye just has never been a good OC, and was not a good hire to begin with. At the end of the season they basically need to clean house as far as HC and QB.
And to get the thread back on topic of 'names from the past', hopefully the Niners keep Trent Balke, former coach at both SDSU and NDSU, in the front office. The guy did great in the Draft last spring.
