          Re: Cal Poly Press Conference

Well with the impending implosion of the GWFC, I would think that USD and UND would be at the mercy of the xDSU's. SDSU wanted a 2 for 1 with UND and gave them a 1 for 1 in the end, but I would think that would be the last 1 for 1 deal with either UxD's.

It would be nice to be a position of having 6 or 7 home games every year, like Montana and Delaware. If we could get 20,000 for a home game then we could start paying teams to come and play. That would be a good thing for the university, fans and the athletes.

The xDSU's are in a better scheduling position today than they were just a few days ago. This is really a great opportunity for the xDSU's to separate themselves from the UxD's in football. If SDSU can continue improving the game day experience with good teams and better facilities, I can see the attendance continuing to grow. I think the attendance for the UxD's will suffer in the long term if they are unable to find a home soon.

This could put SDSU into elite company with Montana and Delaware. In Delaware, everyone know that UD is the big dog in that state and Delaware St. plays second fiddle. The same goes for Montana football compared to MSU football. Nothing against MSU football, but Montana football is the big dog in that state. I think the xDSU's are the current top dogs in the state and I hope it stays that way.
