Re: President of SDSM&T dies
I just started chemotherapy and will undergo 5 more treatments at 3 week intervals lasting into Jan or Feb 2013. I have no idea of what complications played a part in Dr. Wharton's demise, but I have been warned of many side affects from Chemo treatments such as loss of hair and infections. Its unfortunate that this happened. No doubt an active man, and a loss to South Dakota.Last edited by Nidaros; 09-20-2012, 06:54 AM.

Re: President of SDSM&T dies
I understand the President Wharton had been battling some respiratory issues earlier this summer. I was very surprised by this news. He was a very nice man, and my sympathies go out to his family and to the SDSM&T community.

Re: President of SDSM&T dies
Nidaros, heres hoping for a speedy recovery, If you haven't heard about it try taking Turmeric supplements or the actual root itself in food and drink. its related to the ginger family and is used in Southeast Asian and Indian cooking like in currys. I have read about it and am taking if for joint pain. supposed to be an anti-carcinogen, anti inflammatant, and used to treat just about everything. read about it and decide. it also said that it lessens the ill effects of chemo.
