Get a little worked up when this guy helps SD(which BTW can use every penny of help it can get) out and a lot of SDakotan's essentially bitch about how the $$ was delivered. We sound like a bunch of spoiled little brats, when in actually I know exactly the reason they bitch...because they're jealous the $$ isn't or didn't go to one of their "pet-projects".

    Go Jacks!!
Spoiled little brats? yet he is the one who has his name put on everything he gives money too and if they dont he wont give the money. thats an interesting take on things you have their.

      Ok, read MD's post below.

Plenty of debate there.

      Now read RO's post.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic towards MD's post. I may be wrong but.......

For the record, I have no problem with T Denny giving his money and wanting his name on things. If you got it, want to give and also want you name on stuff more power to you.

And I also have no problem with how he made his money. If people want to be dumb, that's their choice. We can't protect people from their own stupidity.

Don't want his name on things. Simple don't take his money.

I for one am glad he spends lots his money in SD. Would you rather he spent this money in Sioux City?

This. Denny, please help us build "Sanford Field at Coughlin Alumni Stadium". Most of us would appreciate it!

I sure its a typo, but T Denny name is the same as Fred Sanford, as played by Redd Foxx.

                      From the article:
"Originally executives from the three companies said Denny Sanford did not want his name on the building, but they thought it was important to recognize the philanthropist for the contributions he's made to the state."

Yeah, except for the Nursing program at SDSU that has a deal with Avera

Now onto the name. I think it sounds stupid, ok. there. has nothing to do with his name or the company but its too long.

As far as T. Denny Sanford, well maybe he didn't want his name on it, but I don't know if I buy that, he has his name on the mine, the name on the Med school, the name on the SF hospital, now the Fargo hospital, and has his name outside of Target field. I just don't know if I'm going to buy the he really didn't want his name on it, but we put it on anyways.

I do think people have the right to be upset, his name is on everything, and though he made his money legally, some would look at how he made his money as nothing more then legal loan sharking. I think when you see (publically owned) properties with his name on it, it upsets people. I don't think that makes people ungrateful or spoiled.

At the end of the day though.... Does this really surprise anyone?

I'm not sure on the exact deal with the nursing program but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there is something going on and one of the buildings is being rebuilt with Avera. Not really sure on the down to basics deal, but Terry has said numerous times don't expect Sanford to be the one on the football stadium because of the ties the school has to Avera.

As far as Target field, well its actually on the Target Center. If you look towards right field, on the corner of the Target Center (where the Wolves play), in large letters it says Sanford. The Twins complained because the $ was going to the Wolves and they had at the time a deal with Mayo (I think, could be wrong that they now have that deal with Sanford)

Wasn't the Sanford sign on the side of the Target Center was taken down at the end of last year's season?
