That's correct. There are going to be building next to Dunham's.

The building will be attached to Dunhams but designed differently. This picture is a little hard to see but it is the best I have right now. It is listed as "building opportunity" and is subject to change but is a general rendering.

Also, Nidaros, the Register usually posts online a few days afterwards. Part of being a subscription paper not giving the news away for free I guess. It was in the print version the next day. You can check out the Brookings Radio News facebook page for updates during meetings or watch online at the city website. Then you can skip to the part you want to see instead of following along on channel 9.

Re: Buffalo Wings applying for liquor license

In a link context it is on slide 27 from the SDSU/Brookings Campus Community forum. Here http://www.cityofbrookings.org/Docum...w.aspx?DID=432
It takes a long time to download but it is a great presentation covering the new 800 bed dorm at SDSU, new gateway entrances, new construction etc. Page 27 has this as the rendering for the future greek village in which 4 Greek houses will be built along the back side of Village Square. The rendering includes the concept for attaching a restaraunt to Dunhams. The exact rendering for BWW will change to fit their individual store concept so that is why I said it is a general rendering. Hope that helps!

Anybody heard the status of the Brookings location? I've heard it may be delayed a bit over some squabbling with Dunham's, but don't know if that is true or not. Wasn't a late February or early March opening planned?

The area in which BWW is located is a nicely-developing commercial area. I cannot imagine how crowded that place will be on game days. Good for Brookings: The people who want to get into Cubby's after a game but can't because of the crowd will now have another place to go for a beverage...more will stay in town a while after events. For Brookings: more sales tax revenue which fosters more development -- they're hitting home runs in our college town.

Yep. It's amazing how much the town has changed even in the four short years I've been here.

Just wait till you leave and then come back to visit. It was just a few years ago for me and its like a whole different town and campus. Glad they got another good place to go, just hope it doesnt hurt some of the other eateries in Brookings that I enjoy.

Just went to the Brookings BWW tonight for supper. Pretty good food (love the chipotle wings). Some service issues, but that's to be expected the first few days. Overall, they worked hard and I think it's going to be a fun place to hang out after the game.

And just to bring the conversation up-to-date for those who don't know, work is starting on the Whiskey Creek location, which is on the east side of the Interstate, on the street leading up to the Swiftel center (north side of Hwy 14 or 6th Street). It had been delayed because of a problem with the water table. They had to put in some type of filler, and then cover that and build. Anyway, ground work has started.

I'm unfamiliar with what the Whiskey Creek location is?

In other words, they didn't want an actual creek running through Whiskey Creek. LOL
