A sad deal as JoAnne Schmidt died yesterday. No doubt anyone who ever went to a basketball game or football game the past twenty plus years would have seen her as she was a smiling face behind the glass. She worked in the Accounting Office at SDSU for 34 years but did the ticketing personnel on the side because she loved mixing with SDSU fans. And, she was danged good at it. JoAnne was the mother of Erin Tetzlaff; wife of SDSU football great Kevin Tetzlaff.

Very sad news. JoAnne was a lifeline for me over the three years I managed the ticket office. Such a sweet lady who could get things done when it came to the ticketing needs on game day. The game days her mother Lillian came with were especially enjoyable as Lillian was quite the spitfire. Rest in peace JoAnne.
