I think those are my top 2 as well, but none of them are good.
Over on Bisonville someone mentioned 'Thumper' as a possible name (probably sarcastically) and I think that would have been good. It would have been actually somewhat creative.
Yeah, but then it would have to be ThumpAR. Seriously, what does Thundar mean anyway?

'Thumper' is a Disney character so we could never use it.
I can't believe they held a contest to come up with the same name people called him already.
Since most people call him Jack currently, it is not surprising that the popular vote went for Jack. Now the name is official. We just called him the rabbit when I was in school. University officials could have sat around a table and come up with something different, but I am glad they gave the students, alumni, and friends of SDSU a chance to have a say.
I feel now we are going to hear a lot hit the road jack, from stadiums we go to now. So instead of everyone yellin hey rabbit, it will be hey jack.
I guessing you are right and probably a lot more vulgar names will be associated with. Of all the final names on the list "Jack" was the only I absolutely did not like. Majority rules but I am still disapointed.
