A lot of interest in the upcoming year of SDSU sports. Several heading to Ames for the SDSU-ISU game. GO JACKS
Any of y'all Yankton folks coming down to KC for the Royals-Twins game and SDSU tailgating on Sat. Aug. 9th?

Had tickets for the White Sox and Royals this weekend, but daughters car took a s**t, so we thought we should spend the $2G's on her car rather than a weekend in KC. I'll stay home and watch the Cubs beat up on the Brewers and Pirates instead. Probably work in a little golf also. Oh well, life goes on...

Golf and softball playoffs for the wife and I. We went down to the Boulevard brewery and the Twins game earlier this year (34 degrees at game time). Stayed in Westport and had one hell of a good time!! The piano bar in Westport is a must. I recommend that anyone who can make the trip do so. Kaufman is fabulous and KC is a great time.

YJC meeting was a good one. Had the flags flying and people are excited about the Jackrabbits. Should have close to 50 YJC members at the Iowa State game. I think a couple of RVs are headed down. If we aren't at the alumni area just look for the YJC flag. I'll try and get a photo posted.

From one of our fearless leaders:

"I have message into Steve Imming to see if he would meet us at Ben's Brewing Co. for some Jackrabbit insight to the season thus far. Tentatively we are setting a date of Monday Sept. 22nd at 6:00."

Steve has been very good about making these meetings. If you are near Yankton on Monday the 22nd stop by Ben's at 6 pm to talk Jackrabbits. Steve has a lot of insight about many of the Jackrabbit sports teams, especially football and men's basketball. Ben's is smoke free and there are plenty of tv's. Ben has 15 beer on draft and pints go for only $2 during Monday night football. $2 for a pint of Guiness is a pretty good deal and you get the company of fellow Jackrabbit fans.

One of the questions that should be posed to Steve is why they don't have postgame interviews with players. I have not caught the supposed expansion of pregame and thought the postgame was also going to be expanded and if anything the time with Stig following the game is shorter. I realize they have a press conference, but that is not covered by WNAX.
