SDSU to honor eight alumni

Eight alumni, whose college experiences span five decades, will be honored by South Dakota State University as distinguished alumni on Sept. 28.

Those chosen to be in the spotlight at a banquet on the night before Hobo Day are:

Its an outstanding group of honorees. The Alumni Council gets many letters and recommendations from various people nominating candidates. The committee that makes the final selections has a tough job in narrowing their choices to eight people. By rights every nominee should get an award of some sort, as you can go any where from SDSU.

I was two years behind James Hoch in High School and used to see him around the Lincoln Library while attending SDSU years ago. A very quiet but very dedicated person as a student and now to see him as a Dept head at Scripps Institute is indeed an honor to be able to say you know the person. The others in the group are also very outstanding and deserving. Congradulations to all of them.
