SDSU ATHLETICS & MIDCO SPORTS EXPAND BROADCAST COVERAGE

BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State University Athletics has announced an enhanced partnership with Midco Sports that will bring a record number of Jackrabbit athletic events to linear television during the 2025-26 season.

This expanded collaboration ensures unprecedented visibility for SDSU Athletics, with more games than ever airing live on Midco Sports and Midco Sports Two. In addition to traditional TV broadcasts, fans can enjoy comprehensive coverage through The Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus, which will continue to stream all home contests, conference road games and postseason tournaments.

Midco Sports will continue to produce SDSU's home football games, along with men's and women's basketball games, maintaining the high-quality coverage fans have come to expect. Additionally, SDSU-produced broadcasts of volleyball, wrestling, softball and select basketball games will air live on Midco Sports and Midco Sports Two.

Jackrabbit home soccer and baseball games will be streamed live on The Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus. They will also air on linear Midco Sports channels on a recorded schedule.

Weekly shows highlighting the South Dakota State football and basketball programs will also be a part of the partnership. Football's Dan Jackson Show and the Jackrabbit Basketball Coaches Show will air live Monday nights at 6 p.m. on South Dakota State Athletics' Facebookand YouTube pages in addition to Midco Sports Plus. The weekly shows will be re-broadcast Tuesday nights at 6 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. on Midco Sports linear TV.

A key feature of this elevated collaboration is the integration of on-air talent across platforms. Tyler Merriam will serve as the lead play-by-play voice for television coverage of Jackrabbit football, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling, while also hosting both coaches' shows.

Brent Bowen will continue his role as the play-by-play voice for volleyball and soccer. He will contribute to select basketball broadcasts, while Merriam and Bowen will share duties for baseball and softball in the spring.

On the radio side, Merriam remains the play-by-play voice for select football and men's basketball games. Scotty Kwas and Al Bahe will take on expanded roles, with Kwas handling additional football broadcasts and Bahe covering more men's basketball games. Kwas and Brad Peterson will continue to share women's basketball radio responsibilities.

All Summit League games produced by either Midco Sports or SDSU Athletics will be available on The Summit League Network, ensuring fans have multiple ways to follow the Jackrabbits all season long.

The Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus is available in mobile/tablet apps (iOS and Android), connected TV device apps (AppleTV, FireTV, and Roku) and a web-based browser interface (SummitLeagueNetwork.tv).-GoJacks.com-

Great news! I look forward to more Tyler-especially on the basketball games as I only have FB season tickets. I will miss his post game recap on the radio as I am driving home. I hope Jay Elsen will be the voice of USD. He is a good guy and is obviously more comfortable in Vermilion. He worked at trying to more positive to the Jacks this past year.

Interesting... I was almost certain Inforum was going to make a run at SDSU's TV rights, given the investments they've recently made in SD.
