    As South Dakota State University winds up its yearlong celebration of its 125th anniversary, the university will air a television series "SDSU 125th Anniversary Memories," which looks back on the historical developments of SDSU.
      Each half-hour episode is hosted by Jim Wooster, an SDSU class of 1962 graduate. The shows were directed by students enrolled in their first TV studio production course. The series was produced by Emery Tschetter, assistant director of Planning and Special Projects, and Jeff Heinle, assistant professor in the Communication Studies and Theatre Department, who is also the instructor of the media production class. The episodes were produced during the 2005 fall semester.
      The episodes will air at various times on the Mediacom/SDSU channel 2. The schedule is listed below.
      Air Times: Oct. 3 and 5, 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
      SDSU 125th Anniversary Memories: Episode 1
      Hosted by Jim Wooster (class of 1962), this episode presents perspectives of South Dakota State University from the 1960s.
      Carol Peterson, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, Harold Bailey, vice president emeritus, and John Miller, professor of history emeritus, present their perspectives. Topics include how the school was transformed from a college to a university, transformations from Division II athletics to Division I, women[ch8217]s athletics, changes in campus life, the arts of the college, and new doctoral programs being offered.
      Directed by SDSU student, Emelia Gulck.
      Air Times: Oct. 10 and 12, 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
      SDSU 125th Anniversary Memories: Episode 2
      Jim Wooster (class of 1962) interviews Dr. Peggy Gordon Miller, president of South Dakota State University. Miller discusses her initial perceptions of the university, the land-grant goals of the university, the move to Division I athletics, the university[ch8217]s reaction to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, state assisted funding, student groups on campus, research park opportunities, and the future of the university.
      Directed by SDSU student, Susanna Marking.
      Air Times: Oct. 17 and 19, 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
      SDSU 125th Anniversary Memories: Episode 3
      Jim Wooster (class of 1962) hosts guests Chuck Cecil, former assistant to the president 1975-1987, and VJ Smith, alumni executive director. Topics discussed include how the student body and administration at SDSU has changed over time, thoughts about the book "College on the Hill," the attempt to close the College of Engineering, memories of Dr. Hilton Briggs, and the relationship between SDSU and the Brookings community.
      Directed by SDSU student, Roxanne Hammond.
      Air Times: Oct. 24 and 26, 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
      SDSU 125th Anniversary Memories: Episode 4
      Jim Wooster (class of 1962) interviews Sherwood Berg, SDSU president emeritus. They discuss Berg[ch8217]s experience as an SDSU student, his involvement in WWII, changes in the campus, the internationalization of SDSU, study abroad programs, and the transition to Division I athletics.
      Directed by SDSU student, Max Jensen.
