Does anyone know about any plans for a gathering before the SDSU vs. U of M MBB game on the 12/7?

I'm hoping to make the game and was wondering where everyone might go before the game!

Back the Jacks in Minneapolis! Join SDSU alumni and fans on Thursday, December 7 when the Jackrabbit Men’s Basketball Team face off against the Golden Gophers at Williams Arena. Before the game, gather at Blarney’s Pub and Grill.

Alumni Gathering:
5:00pm – “no-host” pre-game gathering at the Blarney’s Pub and Grill. Food and beverages “on your own.” Look for others wearing yellow & blue.

I'm planning on going, probably won't make any pre-game festivities though. Anyone got a lead on cheap tickets for the game? Last year tickets at the box office were $30, plus $10 for parking, made for an expensive night.

Hopefully this year's game will be a good one. The Gophers are one bad team right now. NDSU should be embarrassed to have lost to the Gophers a few weeks ago.

Last year, I obtained 3 tickets, great seats, from a scalper on the northeast corner of the street across from Williams arena. There will be plenty of gopher fans looking to sell their tickets and if you're persistent you can get them for under face value. I didn't care about price so I just offered face value and the guy jumped all over it.

I was planning to post info about the Gopher pre-game, but you beat me to it.

If you're headed to Minneapolis to catch the Jacks next week, please stop by the alumni gathering. We're also planning a gathering before the women's game in January (Jan. 14). It will probably be at the same location, but check back at www.statealum.com to be certain. We will announce more information after the December game.

Also... if you are headed to Lawrence for the KU game (12/6) or Kansas City for the UMKC game (12/19), we are planning gatherings at both locations. They will be "no-host" style gatherings just like the Minneapolis event. Tickets for all games can be purchased directly from the local ticket office.
