The women made it into the NCC tournament. I think this is only the second time in school history. Here's the story from the NCC page:
NCC Soccer Championship Pairings Set
10/25/03 16:12
The pairings have been set for the NCC Soccer Championship. The tournament will be held in Mankato, Minn. on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8.
Friday, November 8
#1 Minnesota State (6-1) vs. #4 South Dakota State (2-2-3), 11:30 a.m.
#2 Nebraska-Omaha (5-1-1) vs. #3 North Dakota (4-2-1), 2 p.m.
Saturday, November 9
Championship Game, 1 p.m.
The only tiebreaker was for the fourth seed between North Dakota State and South Dakota State. Both teams were .500 (NDSU 3-3-1) and SDSU (2-2-3). They tied head-to-head and both lost to Minnesota State. South Dakota State got the bid because they tied UNO 0-0 while NDSU lost to Nebraska-Omaha 4-0.
With a solid goaltender in Erin Miller (a transfer from University of Nebraska), we might make some noise in the tournament.
South Dakota State goalkeeper Erin Miller shared soccer player of the year honors in the North Central Conference with MSU-Mankato's Amber Dusosky.
Miller, a senior from Sioux Falls who transferred from the University of Nebraska, led the league in goals-against average (0.64) and was tied for second in shutouts (3).
Augustana's Erin Seidel, from Sioux Falls, was named Freshman of the Year.
The only other area player on the first team was Mankato defender Stacey McGuire, a junior from Sioux Falls.
Nebraska-Omaha's Stephanie Kirby was selected to the team for the fourth time, becoming the first player in league history to do so.
Area players on the second team were Augustana's Lindsey Gerdes, SDSU's Michelle Rahe, Mankato's Mallary Born (from Sioux Falls) and North Dakota State's Jessica Rodgers (from Spearfish).
Well Done Erin Good luck to SDSU as they head into the NCC tourney!
