Worcester earns independent soccer honor
South Dakota State University’s Kelsey Worcester has been named this week’s NCAA Division I Independent Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Worcester, a freshman midfielder from Anamosa, Iowa, scored all three Jackrabbit goals in the first half as SDSU defeated the University of Mary (N.D.) Oct. 3 at Fishback Soccer Park. It was her first collegiate multi-goal game and upped her team-leading goal total to five.
