Jackrabbits to compete in Pre-Nationals
BROOKINGS - The South Dakota State cross country teams will get a chance to see the best Division I has to offer this weekend, even if it's only as spectators.
Three weeks after their last meet, the Jackrabbit runners will participate in the Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by Indiana State on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.
"It will be a good test for us," first-year SDSU coach Rod DeHaven said. "We've had the opportunity to get a lot of training over the last 15 days, and I think we'll finally see the fruits of all our labor."
The Pre-National boasts 87 Division I schools, including most of the country's top-ranked teams such as Stanford and Michigan. Those schools however will be pared into the first two of three races, with DeHaven saying the Jackrabbits likely will be in the third, open classification. . . .
Good Luck Rabbits!
Go State! ;D
