Jacks drop 2-1 game to Minnesota
Minneapolis, MN — The South Dakota State University women’s soccer team lost 2-1 to the University of Minnesota Friday night. The Jackrabbits were out-shot on the night 24-7, but recorded five shot attempts in the second half.
Minnesota’s Marni Prall put the Gophers on the board 9 mintues into the contest scoring off a corner kick. The Gophers got on the board again in the second half when Haley Lentsch scored off an assist from Becky Delarria.
SDSU’s Amy Goodrich put the Jacks on the board midway through the second half, scoring off an assist from Michelle Rahe.
South Dakota State goalkeeper Jenn Davis added to her save total with six saves on the night, including four in the first half. Davis’ six-save performance against the Gophers brought her save total to 102 on the year.
Not a bad showing, Go State!
