USD Transfer

Does this sound a little shady to anyone else...

An artlicle in The Volante, USD's student newspaper about David Nour. He recently transferred from DWU and is starting for the Coyotes this year.

What made you transfer to USD?

"My older brother is real good friends with assistant coach Joey James and they started talking about wanting to start recruiting me so I contacted coach Boots and he asked me to come down for a visit."

Although the appearence does look shady, I think the fact that DWU is a NAIA school and not a NCAA member, the question of getting a release from DWU letter of intent if there is one in NAIA, is not an issue. From what little I understand, Coach Boots could not recruit him, but the fact that Nour contacted Boots, makes fit the NCAA procedure in transferring from one NCAA member institution to another.

If we got anyone on this board who works with compliance they might better be able to clarify
