Re: 2005 SDSU Baseball Schedule
Both Minnesota and Creighton will have excellent teams again this year. Minnesota will be the favorite to win the Big 10. I hope I can make it over to S. Falls for at least one of these games. We are here to add what we can to life, not get what we can from life. -Sir William Osler

Re: 2005 SDSU Baseball Schedule
I plan at being at both. I'm sure MN & Creighton are looking at these as opportunities to do a little more recruiting, but that's OK. SDSU will get more out of these games, espescially after we knock em off.

Re: 2005 SDSU Baseball Schedule
I would think that the Jacks would play at the Bird Cage. I could not find the exact seating but the lower executive seating is 1362. I may have missed the total seating on there website. They do have a very nice stadium and hopefully can serve alcohol since it is off campus. Click on sight below to view stadium.

Sioux Falls Stadium is a beautiful park. Evidently it will be kids day for I believe the Minnesota game and you will see a lot kids let out of school to enjoy the ballgame and fill the park. Should be a great atmosphere.

Mike, what better learning experience than a field trip to a DI Baseball game. I heard this at a Jacks luncheon and don't know all the details other than a special promotion to local students was being planned.

The fact that the SF school district refused to let grade school kids go see "Polar Express" during school time despite the fact they had been reading it for a class project probably did not make the Rochester paper. The idea that they would let classes out to attend a baseball game is laughable!
After looking into it, the truth is SDSU is going to market that game very heavily to kids and families BECAUSE high school and grade school classes are let out early that day due to Teacher Inservice or some such thing. Jack99 is right. SF schools get out a little before three on a normal basis anyway. I do hope it is a nice day. The Birdcage is a great place to watch games, especially if there is a crowd.
