Geary's 43rd career homer sets all-time SDSU record
CARBONDALE, Ill. - Greg Geary became the South Dakota State University all-time leader in home runs, but the Jacks dropped a 7-2 decision to Southern Illinois in baseball Friday afternoon at Abe Martin Field.
SDSU scored in the eighth when Chris Iverson reached base on an error and scored on Greg Geary's 43rd career homer. That makes Geary, the senior first baseman from Rapid City, SDSU's all-time leader, one ahead of Billy McMacken. It's Geary's tenth homer of the season and gives him 49 RBIs.
Geary and Pat Farrell had two hits each for the Jacks.
