  • Solari on SD (SF) Soccer

Has a story in the Argus about Daniel Ohayon, a soccer coach from France who's toiling away in Sioux Falls.

    The city’s coach

Ohayon has made it his mission to improve soccer in Sioux Falls

On a plush green field filled with soccer-playing kids, Daniel Ohayon stands out like a bronzed bear.

He’s gentle and playful, his arms crossed while smiling and joking with the rapport of a favorite high school teacher.

    But then the games begin.

Once the ball starts flying and teams begin soaring up and down the turf, Ohayon’s eye for good passes and missed assignments transforms him into an eagle of a coach watching over his nest of South Dakota’s premier players, as he has done for the last decade as director for the Dakota Gold club program.

The story isn't directly SDSU-related, of course, but Solari really is a pretty good writer . . . I hope he sticks around and covers the Jacks for a long time.
