Pierre: SDSU requests masters program
Teachers and other school personnel seeking a master degree in education administration, as a necessary step toward becoming principals, might have a new place in central South Dakota to work toward advancing their careers.
South Dakota State University wants to offer such a program in Pierre. The state Board of Regents will consider the request Thursday. . . .
The original idea for the program came from Pierre educators who took it to Ron Woodburn, director for Capital University Center. CUC is one of the regents' five off-campus locations across the state.
Some of the courses would be taught face to face while others would use distance-learning technology. Tad Perry, the regents executive director, has recommended approving SDSU's request.
Go State! ;D
