The other week I went to my first Storm indoor fb game against Omaha and expected to have a nice time like I do going to fb games in Brookings. It was very unsatisfying for two reasons.
The way the SF Arena is configured you can't see the sidelines of the fb field so anything that happens near the sidelines is an obstructed view. I missed the biggest play of the game bc I was obstructed.
Also, the game was 3 hours and 15 minutes long bc of the endless commercial promotions. The darn halftime was 25 minutes with nothing more than a commercial after commercial. I felt like I went to a big commercial event and occasionally a fb game would break out. Really unsatisfying. Halftime is five separate little skits featuring the blimpies guy, some car guy, etc hawking their product which is just ridiculous.
Indoor fb is a good product but the Storm bastardize the product by their constant commercials that it will be my first and last game. Be warned for anybody who goes to the Sioux Falls Arena for an indoor fb game. I understand the need for ad revenue but the Storm is way overboard on all the stopping of play for commercials.
If you have a choice to spend 10 bucks going to a Storm game or sending that money as a donation to sdsu -choose the latter option.
