Men's golf fall schedule finalized
The South Dakota State University men's golf team will play five tournaments during the fall of 2005 as it reaches the halfway point of a five-year transition to NCAA Division I.
"The men's fall schedule will be a great test and will allow us to see how we stack up against some of the best teams in the region and across the country," Jackrabbit head coach Jared Baszler said. "Our tournament at Boise State will allow us to see some teams from the western part of the country, which has a lot of quality teams."
SDSU also kicks off the men's season at the Hawkeye Intercollegiate Sept. 10-11 in Iowa City, Iowa. A week later, on Sept. 19-20, the Jackrabbits are slated to compete in the Kansas Fall Invitational. The Jackrabbits close out September at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate Sept. 26-27 in Kansas City, Kan.
The October schedule includes the aforementioned Bronco Fall Invitational in Boise, Idaho, on Oct. 10-11, followed by the season finale Oct. 24-25 at the Oral Roberts Invitational in Tulsa, Okla.
SDSU's spring schedule will be announced at a later date.

Women's golf fall schedule set
The South Dakota State University women's golf team will face top-level competition as it has finalized a fall schedule consisting of five tournaments.
"By playing in tournaments hosted by two Big Ten schools and a Big 12 school our women are going to be pitted against the best competition we can find in our region," said Jackrabbit head coach Jared Baszler, who is entering his third season at SDSU. "Not only will the competition be a good test for our women, but so will the top-notch venues where we’ll be playing."
The Jackrabbits are scheduled to open the season Sept. 10-11 at the Hawkeye Intercollegiate in Iowa City, Iowa, followed by a weekend tournament Sept. 17-18 at the Minnesota Invitational in the Twin Cities. SDSU closes out September by playing in the Chip-n-Club Invitational hosted by Nebraska in Lincoln on Sept. 26-27.
The fall schedule concludes in October with SDSU competing at the Battle at the Lake Invitational near Tulsa, Okla., on Oct. 3-4, with the season finale scheduled for Oct. 17-18 at the Kenneth Smith Classic in Kansas City, Kan.
SDSU's spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
