South Dakota State University will get a $550,000 research grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Senator Tim Johnson says the money will support research by the new Geographic Information Science Center of Excellence, a collaboration between SDSU and the EROS Data Center. He says the grant shows that NASA realizes South Dakota is a great place to do cutting-edge research. . . .
