This news has been out for a while but I don't think I've seen it posted on this message board (and if it has been posted, well, it's worth repeating):
The NCAA announced this past week that Brad Lowery has been awarded the NCAA Post Graduate scholarship. The NCAA awarded 58 postgraduate scholarships of $7,500 each to 29 male student-athletes and 29 female student-athletes who participated in fall sports.
Brad, a Pierre native, has been running with the Big Sur Distance Project, a Reebok-sponsored club located near Monterey, CA., since his graduation from SDSU in December. Brad qualified for the US Track and Field Indoor Championships and we in the thick of the race but ran out of steam for the final lap. He's showing, nonetheless, that he has what it takes to develop into one of the top runners in the country.
