  • My apologies

Good grief. I have been shirking my responsibilities. I just logged in as the admin and noticed that I haven't read my instant messages on that account since, oh, I don't know, Dec. 2004? Not that folks were sending me that much stuff, but that was irresponsible on my part.

Anyway, one suggestion was to start a ticket trader thread. A little late now for this year but maybe next year.

Another was that there was somebody willing to host a new (and hopefully continually improving) Jackrabbit fan board. If they are still willing, I can find the time to help make that transition go smoothly. Don't get me wrong, I'd host this deal forever but, obviously, having a Jackrabbit domain name associated with your board and having an admin who checks his IMs more than, say, once every two years, might be beneficial. The worst case is that we'd all have to re-register and none of the posts would migrate - that's not all bad though.

I'm still interested in hosting the board.

I sent you (Admin) another IM with details.

      Re: My apologies

As i have said before, i am all for a board/site with a sdsu/jackrabbit related domain name. It alone would increase the exposure and traffic to the board.

I'd put it in the sdsufans.com site.

I think we would need to keep a link to this board available for some period of time to allow those who visit less frequently to find the new site.

Yep, that would be a reasonable thing to do.

Heck, don't wait for permission from me, go for it!

Let us know when the new site is up and start the migration. Let me know if there's anything I need to do.

The next week is heavy for me commitment-wise but I'll chip away at it.
