ELMHURST, ILL. - Five Mid-Continent Conference swimming & diving squads were honored today for their work in the classroom by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Valparaiso had both of its men's and women's squads named to the All-Academic honors list. The Crusaders' men's team had a cumulative GPA of 3.11 during the fall semester, which placed them 16th in the rankings released by the CSCAA, while the women garnered the honor with a 2.84 GPA.
Associate member South Dakota State also placed both its swimming & diving squads on Academic honors list as the Jackrabbits' men registered a team GPA of 2.88, while the women's squad posted a 3.03 GPA.
IUPUI's women's team also received All-Academic honors after posting a 3.04 GPA during the fall semester.
To qualify for the CSCAA's All-Academic list, squads must have recorded a cumulative GPA of 2.80 during the fall semester of the 2005 academic year.
