Amanda Kuchta has been a silent partner of sorts in the Yankton cross country and track programs, playing a key role in the teams' successes but letting others have the spotlight. Ashley Storm has been Miss Versatility, running whatever the team needed her to run. Now both will get the chance to prove themselves on an even bigger stage.
Both Storm and Kuchta inked NCAA Division I national letters of intent to compete in track and field and cross country, Storm with the University of Oklahoma and Kuchta with South Dakota State University.
Bon Homme Thrower Headed To SDSU
The allure of competing at the NCAA Division I level also enticed the Lady Cavaliers standout.
"I wanted to go to a D-I program," she said. "That was one of the things that attracted me to SDSU."
Schuch plans to go into a pre-pharmacy track at SDSU. Before then, she has some things she wants to accomplish.
