Steal of home gives SDSU win

Jake Rogers stole home with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning as South Dakota State edged Dakota Wesleyan 3-2 in non-conference baseball Wednesday in Brookings.

SDSU scored in the eighth to take a 2-1 lead when Chris Iverson stole home. DWU tied it in the top of the ninth against SDSU closer Gary Olechoski. Nick Gianou doubled and scored on a two-out single by pinch-hitter Scott Moerike.

Not exactly the way we would like to beat DWU, but a win is a win. Hopefully the Rabbits are ready to play this weekend and take care of our rivals from the north.
