  • SDSU department head to address Oxford Round Table

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota State University Visual Arts department head Norman Gambill has been invited to participate in the Oxford Round Table at England's Oxford University in July.

Gambill is one of only a few people from SDSU to have been invited to make a presentation at the Round Table.

It is "a great honor and opportunity for Dr. Gambill to be invited to a prestigious event like this," Jerry Jorgensen, dean of SDSU's College of Arts and Science, said in a release.

"The Oxford Round Table promotes advancing human knowledge and understanding the education. Dr. Gambill will be participating in intellectual discourse, sharing and exchanging ideas with some of the great thinkers of the day."

Our faculty can also "go anywhere from here."

      Way to go, SDSU!
