Soccer heads to Omaha to face Bluejays
BROOKINGS, S.D. — The South Dakota State University women’s soccer team will travel to Omaha Wednesday, looking to extend its two-game winning streak, when it takes on Creighton University.
The Jackrabbits will face off against Creighton at Morrison Stadium in Omaha, Neb. Start time for the match against CU is set for 6 p.m. The Bluejays, who are picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference this fall, fell to Wisconsin, 3-2, in their season opener and then held on against Indiana for a 2-1 victory Sunday.
SDSU moved to 2-0 on the season with a 3-2 victory over Northern Illinois Sunday. The Jackrabbits, who were coming off a 3-0 shutout over Northern Iowa two days earlier, netted a goal late in the contest to secure their second victory of the season.
